With more than 3000 miles of waterways and 48,000 registered boats in Broward County, it is no wonder the greater Fort Lauderdale area is known as the Venice of America. What is bewildering is that less than 9000 slips are available to hold these vessels. Utilizing one of the world’s most advanced stacker crane systems, robotic parking, boat concierge and serenity spa, Atlantic Marina Holdings planned new facility, The Harborage Club – Fort Lauderdale, is set to revolutionize America’s boating lifestyle.
Railroad tracks are often unused. When these rails remain empty, an asset is wasted. Now, Rail Robot, an invention of Edmund Dechant, utilizes this resource. Rail Robot moves cargo 24/7 when trains do not use the tracks. The invention combines existing technologies to accomplish this task.
