Bourne Energy, an energy research and development company based in California, has just developed three renewable, dam-free, silent and invisible hydropower systems that have the potential to harness the state’s virtually untapped resources of wave, tidal and river energy. One day they will boost the entire state’s economy and health of its citizens, as well as improve overall regional security, says the company. For the next 24 months Bourne plans to build full-scale prototypes of each technology, which will be used as demonstrators.
